Tibco has introduced its first integrated messaging
appliance to improve the performance of itsdatacentre management softwarefor
financial traders and other businesses.
The hardware-software Tibco Messaging Appliance will offer
improved application-to-application, low latency messaging
throughput for mission-critical data.
With the new system, organisations will also be able to reduce
the amount of server space required to run the Tibco Rendezvous
management software by a 10:1 ratio, cutting datacentre power use
and optimising resource use.
"For financial services organisations such as exchanges,
brokerages and hedge funds, every microsecond counts when it comes
to accessing and disseminating mission-critical data," said Denny
Page, chief engineer for Tibco.
"The Tibco Messaging Appliance will provide the improvements in
latency and throughput needed to drive increased business
responsiveness and competitive advantage," said Page.
Rendezvous users will be able to take advantage of the
performance improvements enabled by the appliance without any code
changes to their existing applications that are already enabled by
Rendezvous.
The product will be available later this year, said Tibco.
