The ExtraCare Charitable Trust has hired Carillion IT
Services to provide amanaged IT serviceto its 28
sites.
Charity ExtraCare provides housing and
care for the elderly. It offers a range of activities to its
residents, including IT and web surfing.
The managed service provided by Carillion IT Services, starting
this week, will provide ExtraCare with an IT service desk, network
management and server and desktop services.
These services will support around 80 staff at the charity's
office in Coventry, and 160 staff across other sites in the Greater
Midlands area.
Pam Harper, IT manager at ExtraCare, said, "Knowing our IT is in
safe hands with Carillion will allow staff to concentrate on
sustaining the highest quality of life possible for our
residents."
