Manchester-based manufacturing and distribution group
Hubron is saving £25,000 a year by implementingdocument
management and imaging systems.
The company has rolled out the systems at plastics components
manufacturer Hubron International, chemicals distributer Hubron
Speciality and pharmaceutical packing company Pharmaserve.
The project aims to improve regulatory compliance for quality
control and testing.
Daniel Dunwoody, IT manager of Hubron, said, "There is no doubt
that Version One's systems have helped us to comply with the strict
regulations affecting our industry."
Integration with Hubron's core IT systems has enabled the
automation of processes for electronically delivering digital
versions of certificates with dispatch notes directly to
customers.
"By automating this process, efficiency has improved, staff time
has been freed up and room for error has been eliminated," Dunwoody
said.
Direct cost savings have come from eliminating pre-printed
stationery, reducing postage costs, and freeing up an hour of staff
time every day.
Hubron plans to extend the use of the
Version One systems by rolling out the electronic archive
system across the business so that all incoming and outgoing
documents are stored electronically.
"This will save us a further £15,000 per year and we are looking
at implementing Version One's electronic authorisation and
automated data capture systems for further process automation,"
said Dunwoody.
Hubron also plans to make documents accessible to customers via
its website, such as invoices and certificates of analysis.
Dunwoody said Hubron had chosen Version One because its systems
were able to integrate with the group's existing IT systems and
ease of use.
