Apple patches Safari web browser to tackle security flaws

Apple has updated its Safari web browser to tackle a variety of security scares.
Safari version 3.1.1 plugs security holes which could allow remote attackers to seize users' Apple machines.
Some of the flaws were recently publicised and Apple has reacted relatively quickly to tackle the bugs.
As Apple continues to build market share with its laptop and desktop range, it is increasingly getting the attention of hackers, although Microsoft-powered machines are still the main target.
