O2 has finally launched a mobile broadband service for its customers.
It is the last major mobile operator to do so.
The service is accessed via a plug-in USB modem or "dongle". O2 Mobile Broadband will allow O2 customers to access the internet on a laptop via the O2 mobile network or over 7,500 free Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK. Tariffs start at £20 a month.
The O2 service bundles 3GB of UK data usage on the O2 network every month and unlimited data use via Cloud Wi-Fi hotspots.
An O2 Business Mobile Broadband service will follow on 1 May, said the Spanish-owned operator.
