Irish builder Murdock Group has invested in new IT
architecture to help it cope withcompany expansion.
The Newry, Northern Ireland firm enlisted Northgate Information
Solutions to provide an IT architecture to support 300 staff, a
head office and nine merchant branches across Ireland.
Murdock has implemented a system that includes a Microsoft
Exchange Server platform with full spam and anti-virus protection
an enhanced back-up system and a full, real-time
disaster recovery system.
Group IT manager Michael Rooney said, "We now have a system that
not only delivers efficiencies across our operations, but also
allows us to be more responsive to client needs.
"Staff now have the ability to gain rapid and uninterrupted
remote access to our network, so client interfacing is greatly
improved."
