Charity the Dogs Trust is using IT service desk
management software from Hornbill to help it manageIT
helpdesk requestsas the number of employees
it manages increases.
The organisation formerly known as the National Canine Defence
League (NCDL) has implemented Supports Essentials from Hornbill to
log and track IT helpdesk calls and queries from staff.
The system helps the company support 360 IT users and manages 27
servers, which host the company's applications, wide area network
and communications system.
"With the increase of personnel and numbers of sites that we
were supporting, it was really important that we could control the
queries and work coming through and also carry out fixes in a
timely manner," said Brian Child, IT manager at Dogs Trust.
Child said ease of use, flexibility and value for money were
considerations before the organisation
selected Hornbill's product. "Its out of the box functionality
and easy integration with other systems made it straightforward to
set up with very little configuration required," he said.
