Crowne Plaza Hotels in Ireland is implementing Secure Computing's Secure Web platform to guard against web threats and ensure regulatory compliance.

The system scans all the hotel group's inbound and outbound traffic for viruses, malware and other offensive content.

It is also being used to filter employee web access to ensure appropriate usage, and to ensure the organisation complies with industry regulations.

"It was quick to implement, is easy to manage, and is extremely effective at protecting us from targeted malware attacks," said Gerry Martin, group IT manager at Tifco, which runs the Crowne Plaza chain in Ireland.

"Secure Web also allows us to manage internet usage effectively and easily, while also ensuring we comply with the law."
