Finning International will use Lawson applications for its
equipment service management and rental business to improve
customer service and support growth.
Finning has licensed the Lawson M3 Enterprise Management System
and Lawson S3 Human Capital Management Suite.
The global equipment distributor will use the Lawson M3 -
designed specifically for the equipment service management and
rental industries - to gain organisation-wide visibility into
business processes and create a reliable, consolidated source of
information.
It will use the Lawson S3 system to help optimise its human
resources management.
Finning is based in Vancouver, Canada, and has 13,000 employees
in Canada, the UK, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia.
"We have an aggressive business strategy that will significantly
increase our parts and service revenue by the end of the decade,"
said Jeff Leigh, Finning vice-president of business processes and
systems.
"To handle the increase in volume that will come from this
growth, we need one, reliable IT system that is easy to use,
tightly integrated with Caterpillar, and meets our global business,
technical and customer needs."
