Phishersare widening theirattacks on the banking industry,
according to the latest monthly threats report from
RSA.
In its February threats report, RSA said banking brands from
Ireland and Brazil had made the list of the top countries targeted
for the first time.
It said this followed the trend in the last few months of South
American banks taking up a significant share of the brands
targeted.
In February, 188 banking brands were targeted by phishers. RSA
said 20 of these brands had not previously been targeted.
The US brands are still the most dominant in the list, with the
UK still in second place with 12% of the targeted brands.
