Three-quarters of IT managers saysecurity skillsare the most important skills for their IT professionals to have, according to a survey by technology certification body CompTIA.

CompTIA surveyed 3,500 IT heads and found that 73% identified network security and data-security related skills as the most important current skills for their organisation.

However, only 57% said their IT staff were currently up to the mark in these areas.

The survey also found that 55% of IT heads believed that wireless-related skills, including mobile and RFID, may well overtake security skills requirements in their organisation within five years.
