Nortel and Microsoft have released four new
jointunified communicationsproducts.
The joint products include the Converged Office unified
communications suite, Multimedia Conferencing and systems for
branch offices and hosted service providers.
They build on the firms' Innovative Communications Alliance,
which began less than two years ago.
The pair say they have sold more than 600 of their joint
unified communications products since the formation of the
alliance.
Ruchi Prasad, vice-president and general manager for the
Innovative Communications Alliance at Nortel, said, "With these
solutions, enterprises can now choose to deploy unified
communications via a customer premise solution, managed service
system, or a hybrid of the two, helping accelerate the pace of
unified communications adoption."
