
Londonis the world leader when it
comes to hostingenterprise Wi-Fiuse, with annual
usage up 156% in the second half of 2007.
Figures from enterprise Wi-Fi provider iPass confirm London's
position, based on the number of Wi-Fi sessions completed on its
virtual Wi-Fi network, pieced together from different wireless
providers.
Europe overall increased its worldwide share of Wi-Fi hotspot
use to 40%, up from 31%.
Europe is now set to overtake the US in Wi-Fi use, said iPass,
with the US seeing its percentage of iPass sessions in the second
half of the year falling from 59% to 51%.
The top four Wi-Fi locations in order are London, Singapore,
Tokyo and New York.
