Applications forIT jobsrose 17% the first two months
of 2008 according to a report by an IT recruitment
agency.
The report by
CV Screen compares applications made in the last three months
of 2007 with January and February.
The findings show that many IT professionals have kicked off the
new year by moving to a new job.
The agency said despite fears of a slowdown, confidence was high
within the IT industry with an increase in the number of applicants
as well as the number of new IT vacancies being registered.
CV Screen said it had registered a record number of IT jobs in
February, which showed that the market was still buoyant in the
early months of 2008.
