Mobile communications firm Orangeis
planning to offer UK businesses the latest device from HTC, known
as Shift, which includes a seven-inch touch screen mobile
computer.
The Shift is smaller and lighter than a laptop, with mobile data
connectivity.
It has a seven-inch touch screen that "slides and tilts" to the
perfect viewing angle, said Orange. It also has a full Qwerty
keyboard.
Users can switch between
Microsoft Windows Mobile and
Microsoft Windows Vista, said Orange.
The device supports 3G/3G+ and Wi-Fi. The Shift also comes
pre-loaded with Microsoft Office in Vista mode, enabling users to
download, view and edit Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and
Microsoft PowerPoint documents.
It comes with a 30GB hard-drive, large enough for most mobile
offices.
