IBM completes £2.5bn Cognos acquisition

IBM has completed its £2.5bn acquisition of Cognos to enhance its business intelligence Information on Demand strategy.
To date, IBM has announced 25 strategic acquisitions in support of its global Information on Demand effort.
The company announced a definitive agreement to acquire Cognos on 12 November last year, and will outline its business strategy for Cognos on Friday 6 February.
