McAfee's Avert security lab has ranked the biggest phishing and malware threats, and the top brands used by phishers to trap web users.

The top 10 headers for phishing e-mails are:

5. Banking
6. All cards (except the temporary cards) from this account are suspended
7. Your Online Activity Confirmation
8. JPMorgan Chase - Critical Account Information
9. Information
10. Data confirmation

The top five brands targeted by phishers are:

1. Natwest, 44%
2. CommerceBank, 38%
3. VolksBank, 16%
4. eBay, 1%
5. Bank of America, 1%

The most prevalent viruses/malware in January were:

1. VBS/Psyme, Trojan
   PCs Infected, 7.29%
2. Adware-ZangoSA, programme
   PCs Infected, 4%
3. JS/Wonka, Trojan
   PCs Infected, 3.69%
