Hewlett-Packard unveils green business desktop

Hewlett-Packardhas unveiled anenvironmentally-friendly businessdesktop. The HP Compaq dc5800 Business PC meets the environmental requirements of the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Gold registry.

HP currently tops the industry in the number of Gold-listed products in the EPEAT registry, which helps businesses evaluate, compare and select technology products based on their environmental attributes.

The new HP Compaq dc5800 Business Desktop PC comes with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, and is pre-loaded with the Verdiem SURVEYOR remote power management software agent and an 80PLUS Power Supply, to deliver maximum energy efficiency to help firms reduce processor heat and energy costs.

The HP Compaq dc5800 is expected to be available in the UK from 18 March, and starts at £449.
