An online pharmaceutical catalogue for the NHS has won
an award for e-government excellence ine-procurement.
The catalogue replaced the previous monthly distributed CD-Rom
version and includes information on more than 20,000 pharmaceutical
products available to NHS trusts.
It was lauded at the e-government National Awards, which
recognise services that use innovative online delivery and IT
implementation to positively transform the lives of citizens and
provide better public services.
Chris Gledhill, managing director of PDMS Limited, which
developed the catalogue, said, "Since the launch of the catalogue
it has helped many pharmacy departments within NHS trusts and
prisons save time and achieve better value for money.
