
Gateshead HealthNHS Foundation Trusthas implemented
the Datix Patient Risk Management software to meet the requirement
for fully integrated incident reporting.
The aim is to give the Trust the latest in fully integrated
reporting systems to meet
compliance needs.
Angela O'Brien, head of corporate risk at Gateshead Health,
said, "We needed a sophisticated level of integration, using a
system that contained all patient and staff incidents, calling on
multiple sources of data. It had to enable us to analyse a wide
range of data, fast."
The Trust has already implemented multiple Datix modules with
more to follow. Of immediate importance was the integration of
incident reporting with Patient Advice and Liaison Service (Pals)
and Complaints.
"Importantly for us, the Datix system provides fully integrated
Pals and Complaints modules and it will enable us to grow and
evolve as more modules are brought on board," said O'Brien.
