UK cleaning and security services company Emprise
Services hasoutsourced its IT operationsto cut
costs, ease company expansion and ensurebusiness continuity.
Mark Mitchell, IT manager at Emprise, said the company's legacy
IT system with disparate servers in a complicated network had led
to costly downtime.
"Opening up a new office or re-locating as the business grew
typically involved creating a new set of servers, datacentre and
connections, at great cost in time and money," he said.
Multiple points of failure had prevented IT staff from spending
time on business-led application development and backing up of data
using a tape-based system was inefficient.
Emprise decided to outsource its IT operations to consolidate
its servers, centralise the network, carry out daily online data
back-up, and provide disaster recovery services and desktop
support.
"We are more productive with improved communications, both
internal and external, and everyone is able to respond to clients
more efficiently," Mitchell said.
He said the company had chosen Oncore IT as its outsourcing
supplier because of feedback from existing customers and ability to
meet Emprise's strategic needs.
