RSA partners with Cisco for PCI compliance

RSA has made five of its products that support customers withpayment card industry data security standard (PCI DSS) complianceinteroperable with Cisco PCI architectures.

Cisco's Validated Network Designs support retail customers attempting to meet the PCI DSS requirements such as authentication and encryption.

RSA claimed it is important that suppliers create interoperable products to ensure overall systems, which feature multiple security systems, are PCI complaint.

"The complexity of PCI compliance cannot be untangled by a single product or set of products the requirements call for a holistic strategy that spans people, process, and technology," said Jim Melvin, vice-president of marketing and security solutions at RSA.
