Netgearhas launched its
next-generation Wireless-N family ofWi-Fiproducts incorporating internal
antenna technology that helps increase range and
bandwidth.
The new RangeMax Wireless-N product family is designed to reduce
the effects of radio frequency interference and maximise network
performance.
The offering includes the RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router,
RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit Router, the 5GHz Wireless-N HD Access
Point/Bridge, the HD/Gaming 5GHz Wireless-N Networking Kit, and the
RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N USB Adapter.
The products are aimed at a growing number of
bandwidth-intensive Wi-Fi applications, including streamed
high-definition video and online gaming.
They incorporate multiple internal antenna arrays based on
metamaterials technology. The unique wireless signal patterns and
properties delivered by metamaterial antenna arrays help boost
range and performance, said Netgear.
Netgear's Wireless-N products are based on the IEEE 802.11n
Draft 2.0 specification, and have all been certified by the
industry's Wi-Fi Alliance.
