The Hanover Housing Association has signed a managed
network contract withTHUSto support more than 460 sites
across the country.
Hanover provides retirement housing and manages 18,000
properties across England.
THUS will create a
converged voice and data network and link Hanover's head office
and local offices to local housing estates.
Hanover required a communication network that would improve the
efficiency of its back office systems and ensure the safety and
security of residents and lone workers.
The contract will initially deliver a
Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) IP VPN to securely carry
voice and data traffic, allowing Hanover to support a growing
number of remote workers who need to access and share information
quickly and securely.
Richard Dryden, IS director at Hanover, said, "Thus offered us a
solution that freed up our time to do our jobs and offered us a
vision of what is possible in the future."
As the service roll out progresses, the THUS next-generation
network will play a role in supporting the provision of Hanover's
Alarm, OnCall and ExtraCare services.
These all play a direct role in ensuring the safety and security
of vulnerable people in their own homes.
