The University of Cambridge has selected the Science Warehouse e-procurement platform to cut its purchasing costs.
The web-based system is designed to streamline purchasing and enhance spend-management controls.
Science Warehouse will provide a system integrated with the university's Oracle iProcurement application.
The system will make it faster and easier for staff to purchase from the university's preferred suppliers, and will improve the efficiency and management of the purchasing process.
Andrew Gillies, head of purchasing at the University of Cambridge, said, "The university is fully committed to implementing e-procurement in support of its procurement strategy.
"This system will be delivered in a phased roll-out across the university. It will not only improve the purchasing process but will generate savings and other benefits for end-users."
