Fleet managers are being offeredDynamic TimesheetsfromCybit, which give them illustrated
reporting on their vehicle movements throughout the
day.
Telematics provider Cybit has updated its
Fleetstar-Online fleet and asset management system to deliver
the Dynamic Timesheets system.
The
GPS-powered system offers enhanced management of a fleet by
graphically displaying times spent moving, stopped periods, times
at base, "idling" or at unauthorised locations, said Cybit.
The graphical timesheet displays planned jobs to enable
customers that integrate job management, scheduling and planning
into Fleetstar to have real-time vision of planned versus actual
progress.
This new feature makes it easier to allocate resources to new
jobs and manage any exceptions should planned schedules overrun.
The visibility of the entire fleet is available on a single
screen.
Fleetstar's user interfaces and e-mail reporting structures have
also been upgraded to provide easier access and extraction of
information.
Fleet vehicles are fitted with a small electronic
in-vehicle-unit, which is tracked by GPS in real-time and then
transmits data to Cybit's online control centre. It offers users
anytime, anywhere access to the system via a standard web
browser.
