Insurance firm Aviva is deploying atalent management systemthat will
ultimately cover 60,000 staff across over 25
countries.
The UK insurer is deploying the ETWeb system from StepStone,
which will help
Aviva build a transparent, up-to-date view of the capabilities and
experience of staff across the group's every business unit
globally.
The StepStone system is designed to help Aviva retain and
develop its staff, improve the ratio of internal promotions to
internal hires, and drive succession planning by finding succession
options for senior level positions.
At the same time, ETWeb will help Aviva put its employees in the
driving seat of their own careers. Using ETWeb's self-service
features, staff will be able to feed back to line managers and HR
professionals on their skills and career objectives, whilst gaining
accurate, up-to-date information on the progress they make against
development objectives.
The first phase of the deployment will be completed in the first
quarter of next year. This will cover 1,300 senior management
staff, from country chief executives to heads of departments.
Over the next year, Aviva plans to roll this out to the next
management tier to incorporate a total of 7,000 employees.
"Finding and developing the best talent is at the heart of our
business and we are committed to ensuring we continually challenge,
reward and develop people who want to build an international
career," said Arvinder Dhesi, group talent management director at
Aviva.
