EssexFire Authorityis deploying the Dream
finance platform from CODA Group, which will be hosted for them by
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Fire Authority.
The partnership follows increasing collaboration between fire
authorities as the service strives for increased efficiency and
cost savings.
Cambridgeshire will help Essex to implement and manage the Dream
system and will provide first line support.
CODA will provide helpdesk services, database support and
disaster recovery, to help Cambridgeshire cope with the additional
demand on its resources and infrastructure.
"We are very happy to be able to work closely with
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Fire Authority on this project,"
said Steve Truman, project manager at Essex
Fire Authority.
"They already have experience with CODA's Dream software and we
have the peace of mind that comes with managed software. It makes
sense for fire authorities to share more systems and infrastructure
as we have many of the same requirements," he said.
The Essex online finance system will be installed on an external
server at Cambridgeshire's head office.
Essex Fire Authority previously used a finance system that was
developed in-house coupled with software that was hosted by Essex
County Council.
