Swisscom Fixnet has selected a new IT service management (ITSM) system as it follows theITILresources standard.

Telco Swisscom Fixnet has gone to Axios Systems to deploy its Assyst system.

The Assyst system was chosen because it provides a single configuration management database (CMDB) across ITIL disciplines, Sarbanes-Oxley change management functionality, and an open data model for integrations, said Swisscom Fixnet.

Another important factor was that it could follow the ITIL guidelines "out-of-the-box" with Assyst, while still maintaining a flexibility that could be aligned with changing and future business requirements.

Martin Blocher, Assyst system owner at Swisscom Fixnet IT service delivery, said, "We evaluated all the IT service management providers and Axios was the best fit for us. We are looking to greatly improve our customer service as a result."
