SAS and Sun partner to optimise datacentre business intelligence

SAS andSun Microsystemshave launched a new initiative to deliverbusiness intelligence innovation in datacentres.

The offering is designed to help customers streamline the implementation of technology to deliver faster, more accurate data analysis.

The SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform, powered by Sun's Datacentre of the Future (DcoF) offering, helps organisations better manage, optimise and enhance current and future SAS and Sun IT infrastructures throughout the enterprise, said the partners.

The SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform will run on the open source Solaris operating system.

The architectures can run on virtually any of Sun's hardware systems, from x64 servers to powerful compute-intensive servers.
