The heads ofSAPuser groups from around the world
are planning to meet SAP senior management in Boston in
December.
This is the first time all groups will be meeting in one place.
The goal of the SAP user group is to present a global voice from
all users, covering what businesses want from SAP.
Speaking to Computer Weekly, Glynnn Lowth, chairman of the SAP
user group in the UK, said, "We will work with other user groups to
influence planning. Lowth said it was hard for a single user group
to influence SAP, but together, the groups represented a large
number of users.
The agenda for the meeting has not been set yet, but from a UK
perspective Lowth wanted to see the development of SAP Support
Services in the UK.
Lowth has begun collaborating with user groups in France, Spain,
Germany and Holland to call for better support services.
He expected the groups would focus on influencing SAP's overall
product strategy rather than asking for new functions and features
to be added to SAP's software.
