Global law firmDavies Arnold Cooperhas invested in
aNeverfaildisaster recovery system to
comply with a new regulation on business continuity for
solicitors.
The updated
Solicitors'
Code of Conduct, introduced in July, requires law firms to
ensure they can carry on functioning on behalf of clients in the
event of a disaster.
The law firm implemented Neverfail's
Blackberry Enterprise Server to ensure continual mobile
connectivity for the 120 fee earners and key workers in London,
Madrid and Mexico City who use Blackberry devices to access
e-mail.
Stuart Cowell, head of IT at Davies Arnold Cooper, said the firm
chose Neverfail because it was supported by Blackberry maker
Research in Motion, had multiple customer references and offered
good value.
"Neverfail supports Blackberry Enterprise Server out of the box,
saving time and money on customisation," he said.
The Neverfail system also enables the law firm to carry out
routine server maintenance to update security software without
interrupting e-mail availability. "This is another important
business benefit," said Cowell.
