TheElectoral Commissionplans to build a
new database to give the public increased access to information on
political parties' finances.
The commission has published a contract notice in the official
journal of the EU for the work.
The Party and Election Finance (PEF) database will be designed
to make the exchange and management of election and party finance
data more efficient and to ease public access to the
information.
The database will reduce the manual input of such data at the
commission, leading to staff time savings and less data errors.
Tenders for the database work have to be in by the end of this
month.
