Brits have filled their homes with more than 400 million
gadgets as new technology becomes widely adopted across the
nation.
Research from internet bank
first direct says the gadget mountain of more than 400 million
pieces of kit equates to more than 16 gadgets in every
household.
The launch of new MP3 players, upgrades to HDTV, and the launch
of
Blu-Ray, HD-DVD and flat screens are adding to the abundance of
kit in the home, said first direct.
Britain's number one gadget is the mobile phone with almost 70
million handsets across the country.
There are also more than 24 million PCs or laptops with
broadband, and there are also more than 22 million games
consoles.
