Travel firm Sabre is using a system fromBEA Systemsto optimise its web
services.
Sabre Holdings is using BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository 3.0
to govern its web services, which manage 36 million daily
transactions for air, car, hotel and other travel requirements.
Sabre provides travel and transportation information to more
than 50,000 travel agencies, major travel suppliers, large
companies and travel websites worldwide.
Sabre deployed BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository as its
central repository for managing, governing and distributing Sabre
Web Services to this network of customers.
In addition, BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository is helping
Sabre manage its entire inventory of internal services, components,
frameworks and other software assets.
"BEA AquaLogic Enterprise Repository has helped us promote and
govern our service orientated architecture assets and understand
where and what services are being used," said Bob Prevenslik,
director of web services at Sabre Holdings.
"This enables us to analyse market trends to optimise product
delivery and continue meeting our customers' needs," he said.
