HP has introduced a portfolio of bundledunified communications(UC) systems in
partnership withCiscoand Microsoft.
The HP UC portfolio brings together voice, fax, email,
voicemail, video/data/audio conferencing, collaboration, wireless
and mobile technologies to improve the way individuals and groups
work together.
"Unified communications plans that are easy to implement and
manage are an increasing priority for our customers, and HP is
responding to this need," said Robb Rasmussen, vice-president for
marketing and alliances at HP Services. "Our technical expertise
and partner relationships make HP a leading systems integrator for
UC."
The UC portfolio includes assessment, strategy and architecture
services that help enterprise customers create custom roadmaps to
plan their UC transformation.
The bundled software and hardware offerings are designed to
address the full range of UC scenarios, including mobile devices,
laptops, voice over IP and video conferencing.
The recent Cisco and Microsoft joint commitment to ongoing
interoperability between their systems is what HP is seeking to
build on, with its own interoperable products with its partners'
offerings.
