Oracle has joined forces with Dell and EMC to help
customers more easily acquire and implement data warehouse
systems.
The partners have launched the Oracle Optimized Warehouse for
Dell and EMC. This is the first system of the Oracle Optimized
Warehouse Initiative, which is designed to deliver data warehousing
systems based on Oracle Database pre-installed on hardware
configured and validated for high-performance data warehousing.
Available through Dell, the Oracle Optimized Warehouse for Dell
and EMC is a pre-configured, validated data warehouse system based
on Dell PowerEdge servers and EMC CLARiiON CX3 networked storage
systems, which are offered by Dell under the Dell/EMC brand.
The Oracle Optimized Warehouse for Dell and EMC consists of a
Dell PowerEdge 2950 with two dual-core Xeon processors, Red Hat or
Oracle Enterprise Linux, and a Dell|EMC CX3-10 networked storage
system.
The Oracle Optimized Warehouse for Dell and EMC covers a range
of data warehouse sizes and can scale according to business
requirements.
