ONStor, a provider of network attached
storage products, has introduced a range of virtualised storage
products offering twice the capacity and improved performance over
the previous model.
The new
Pantera 5000 product has been designed to give storage managers
a way to to scale their storage infrastructure and consolidate file
servers.
Onstor said it also offers features to deliver a greener data
centres.
The Pantera 5000 supports up to 112 drives per RAID controller
and can scale up to 672 terabytes across eight nodes. The product
uses ONStor's global namespace (GNS) technology, which is designed
to help IT managers easily grow their networked storage environment
while keeping storage provisioning and management simple.
The Pantera 5000 is available today from ONStor and resellers in
the United States, Europe, and Japan at a list price of £62,000 for
a two-node cluster with 24 terabytes of near-line storage.
