Bassetlaw council has signed a £90,000 deal with Northgate Information Solutions to deliver a new combined environmental health and public safety system.

The public protection service will be implemented at Bassetlaw council as part of a seven-year contract.

The council has joined up its administrative management of environmental health, private sector housing, anti-social behaviour and waste management in order to deliver enhanced services to citizens and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy.

By fully integrating using a geographic information system, the system will enable the council to use a streamlined approach to improving services by quickly identifying problems, agreeing interventions and systems, and constantly assessing situations.
