Bassetlaw council has signed a £90,000 deal
withNorthgate Information Solutionsto
deliver a new combined environmental health and public safety
system.
The public protection service will be implemented at Bassetlaw
council as part of a seven-year contract.
The council has joined up its administrative management of
environmental health, private sector housing, anti-social behaviour
and waste management in order to deliver enhanced services to
citizens and reduce unnecessary bureaucracy.
By fully integrating using a geographic information system, the
system will enable the council to use a streamlined approach to
improving services by quickly identifying problems, agreeing
interventions and systems, and constantly assessing situations.
Chris Shaw, of Bassetlaw council's environment and housing
service, said, "The council is committed to implementing practical
improvements to these services to benefit the local community, and
we believe that our close collaboration with Northgate will help
deliver the best service for local citizens."
