Construction company Gladedale has implemented
collaborative project management software to save time and costs on
its £212m Oatlands regeneration project in Glasgow.
"
Autodesk Buzzsaw helps us deal with all questions much faster,
whether from our directors or from the plumbers, as we have almost
instant access to all current information, which prevents hold ups
when changes need to be made," said Gerry Smith, construction
manager at Gladedale.
The system has enabled Gladedale to make 2,000 drawings and
other documentation for the regeneration project available
online.
"Authorised personnel can access any drawing or project
documentation including completion notices and health and safety
files, whenever it is needed," said Malcolm Crawford, senior
architectural technician at Gladedale.
The system also makes updated drawings available as soon as they
have been completed or revised, which ensures everyone involved in
the project is working to the latest versions.
"By turning the project into an almost paperless operation,
Buzzsaw offers a greener and far more cost-effective alternative to
the traditional way of disseminating construction information,"
said Crawford.
