A new councildigital TV servicehas made a raft of
local services available via residents' remote
controls.
People living in
Bracknell Forest
can see what is on in their local area, look for a job, check bus
and train timetables, and book
doctor's appointments through the new service.
As well as looking at local events and activities, residents can
find out about contacts and opening times for council services, and
access the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
The council says the service helps improve digital inclusion
levels in the area.
Cllr Iain McCracken, executive member for corporate services,
said, "We know not everyone in the borough has access to the
internet, so we hope this digital TV channel will help more
residents to access our services when it is convenient to
them."
