BT has signed a £128m outsourcing deal with Xansa to extend its finance and accounting contract until 2014.

The renewed business process outsourcing contract with Xansa will now last an additional six years.

Xansa will continue to manage BT's UK operations for finance and accounting, transaction processing, and ledger and payroll services - drawing on Xansa's onshore and offshore capabilities in India.

The extension covers finance and administration processing, accounts payable, cash, treasury, payroll, ledger and reporting services.

"Xansa has worked with BT for many years. Not only does its outsourcing service provide us with transaction process expertise, but the company has an in-depth understanding of our business and is committed to helping us deliver our key outcomes," said Andrew Kemp, group director of reporting, planning and analysis at BT.
