The
Improvement Servicein Scotland has put out to
tender a new National Personal License Database, which will cover
the sale of alcohol.
Tenders are being invited for the provision of a personal
license database, with an option to extend that system into a
national licensing system.
Changes to the
Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, coupled with a desire to develop
a shared and managed service approach to public services, are the
driving forces for the new database, said the Improvement Service,
which serves Scottish public sector bodies.
The new database will cover details of newly distributed
personal licences that authorise named persons to operate and
manage licensed premises and to sell alcohol.
More details on the database are available from the
Improvement
Service's website.
