LogicaCMG sales increase 36.2%

For the six months ending 30 June,LogicaCMGsaw sales up 36.2% to £1.525bn, compared with £1.12bn for the same period last year.

Operating profits were up 13.1% at £43.9m, while pre-tax profits increased to £29.2m from £26.8m.

Although sales growth was impressive in France, the Nordics, the Netherlands and Germany, there was an 8.3% sales decline in the UK, due to "weakness in commercial sectors", said LogicaCMG.

David Tyler is to become chairman of the company on the retirement of Cor Stutterheim. The firm is still looking for a new chief executive.
