Plant hire firm outsources IT

Construction plant hire and demolition firm Owen Pugh hasoutsourced its IT to Croft Technologyto increase efficiency and cut costs.

The deal has seen Croft design and implement a new IT infrastructure and provide a managed service to North-East-based Own Pugh.

Croft has also deployed a Cat5e (Category 5 enhanced) managed cable network to the firm to improve connectivity.

John Dickson, Owen Pugh group chairman, said, "The total replacement of the IT system in our business represents a significant investment, and the fact that it has been undertaken on time, within budget and with minimal disruption to the business is a credit to Croft."
