Engineering parts supplier Hayley Group has chosen
Infor's distribution essentials system to streamline the processing
of sales and purchase orders.
Hayley Group signed the £500,000 deal with Infor to provide 250
users with a single and real-time view of stock worth over £12m
across 32 branches.
The company identified the need to provide customers with the
ability to order parts online to reduce operating costs and process
orders more efficiently.
Hayley Group supplies bearings, seals, metals, lubricants, and
power transmission components for specialist engineering
projects.
"Once the implementation is complete, the system will enable our
global customer base to place and track their orders online,
reducing time spent processing paper requests," said Jen Newton, IT
manager at Hayley Group.
Newton said it was also clear the company had outgrown existing
systems and needed a new IT system because of increasing product
complexity and overseas expansion.
"Infor's distribution essentials met our needs, especially in
terms of flexibility and ease of use," she said.
Infor's distribution essentials software is scheduled to go live
across the Hayley Group in June 2008. In the first stage of
implementation, thousands of stock codes will be transferred to the
new system.
