Aruba and Alcatel join up for pervasive mobility

Aruba Networks and Alcatel-Lucent have established a joint venture to combine Aruba's wireless Lan technology with Alcatel-Lucent's wired infrastructure products to "provide pervasive secure mobility to enterprises of any size".

Alcatel-Lucent will market and sell a mobility product that combines Aruba's secure mobile technology with Alcatel-Lucent's wired network infrastructure and communication and collaboration applications suite. The resulting platform will be designed to allow enterprises to experience the many benefits of secure mobility, including unparalleled mobile communication and collaboration user experience, without comprising the integrity of their business critical network traffic.

This deal adds joint development and extends the Aruba security technology to Alcatel's wired network equipment. The companies will market a mobility system that combine's Aruba's technology with Alcatel's network gear and communication and collaboration applications
