Field service organisationSPIhas chosen Cognito's mobile workforce management system to
mobilise its 500-strong workforce.
The aim is to achieve a competitive advantage by reducing costs,
streamlining administration and increasing productivity.
SPI provides mechanical and electrical services to local
authorities, housing associations and contractors across the West
Midlands.
Cognito's
workforce management system is integrated with Maxima's
Intellect
contracting and accounting software.
The combination will enable SPI's field force to respond in
real-time to customer service calls, improving operational
efficiency and enhancing customer service, said Colin MacAdam,
commercial director at Cognito.
The system will also enable SPI to reduce the time required to
issue gas safety certificates to prove gas appliances have been
checked and meet the required standards. Service engineers will be
able to complete the form on a mobile device, eliminating all
paperwork.
Entered data will be sent to the Intellect database at SPI and
copies of the form will be automatically printed and posted to the
tenant and the housing authority. All gas safety certificates will
also be kept on the database and referenced to the customer
account.
