Croydon extends Northgate deal

TheLondon Borough of Croydonhas strengthened its partnership withNorthgate Information Solutionsby selecting it to deliver a £4.5m managed support service for its revenues and benefits department.

Following the implementation of Northgate's revenues and benefits software in 2006, Croydon has entered into a new five-year contract worth more than £4.5m with the company.

The managed service provides a hosted data service, central helpdesk facility and technical support covering the systems and applications used by the revenues and benefits department.

The contract also covers disaster recovery and business continuity of data, and capacity monitoring in the data centre.

Nathan Elvery, director of finance and resources at Croydon council, said, "Our working relationship is built upon a shared commitment to meet the increased expectations for delivering more services more efficiently."
